What? Another blog from you two? Yep. Although it has been 8+ years since the old one was updated.
So why a new one? You could say “Back by popular demand”.
Although “popular is doing some pretty heavy lifting there.
Mostly because no one wants to add another social media account to follow. Certainly not me, as I quit most of it years ago. Although I did revive my Instagram account. No need to look for that, as it will be pretty much everything that you find here. Just more words here,
Anyway, if you’re here, you may or may not know the happenings. A couple of years ago we moved in with Goddess’ mom to help her with the typical issues of aging. By spring ’25, we lost her. Clearing out the estate took the remainder of the year, bleeding into this year.
Once that was done, we hit the road. Since March 1st, we’ve managed to travel through 23 states (and counting) and putting 15,000+ miles on the car while visiting friends and family while working in a lot of off-the-beaten path sightseeing. Staying off the interstates has been our main goal, although there are times we’ve needed to cover distance. But even then, we’re always on the lookout for side quests.
As we visit folks, the question is always “What’s the plan?” Most of the time, the answer is “Good question.” We have been making it up as we go along. That will continue, even though we’ve shocked more than a few people with a rough outline of a plan for the rest of 2026.
After that?
Who knows.
